The T-nut is a general term used to refer to different types of fasteners for the V-Slot profile. Here are the primary types and how to employ them with V-Slot.

Slide-In T-Nuts: Slide-in T-nuts have to be inserted from the end of the V-slot. Pre-load is required during assembly.

Suggestion: To make the process easier, assemble all components first and screw them into the slide-in t-nut for 1-2 turns. Then slide the assembly into place and tighten.

Remark: Slide-in t-nuts can only be loaded from one end. This means adding more after assembly is not possible.

Drop-In T-Nuts: These fasteners are designed to quickly and easily fit into T-slot openings. To insert, use a screw to aid with insertion and then rotate until engagement. These nuts are designed to fit straight into the t-slot opening and then rotate until secure. The width should always be less than the T-slot opening dimension.

NOTE: Note: These are great for times when extra fasteners are needed after construction is complete. Drop-in and roll-in nuts are perfect for this.

Spring Loaded Roll-in T-Nuts: These unique T-Nuts are a great way to construct vertical structures, as they have a spring and a ball that keep them in place. To install them, use a screw to lever them into the T-slot. Simply rotate or roll them in and they'll stay secure until you can fix your assembly in place.

To install them, you can use a screw to help roll them in. Just screw the screw in 1-2 turns and use it as a lever when inserting and positioning the t-nut.
